Local Groups

Here are some of the existing Community Groups and Societies in Llan. Click on their logos to find out what they do and how to join in.

We are a self-managed allotment site with 15 plots available to the inhabitants of Llannerch-y-medd and surrounding areas.

Llannerch-y-medd Bowling Club was closed for a long period of time but has recently started up again following interest in the village. We meet up around twice a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the bowling ground to play a few games.

This project was started in 2016 as an exciting idea to improve a derelict site and create a wildlife friendly Community Garden for Llannerch-y-medd. Now that the garden is established the main aim is to maintain and develop it.

​The Council were created to help repair maintain and improve local amenities and contact between the community and the Local Authority.

Llanerch-y-medd FC are a team that has been going for many years, and still going strong to this day. The team plays its home matches at Tan Parc. We have been a very successful club in recent years having won several cups, trophies and promotions.

​The group hopes to focus on the history, heritage and archaeology of the following areas: Llannerch-y-medd, Llandyfrydog, Ceidio, Coedana and Carmel. If interest from other areas persist, we may expand the focus area outwards.

​We are a junior football club based in Llannerch-y-medd, currently with 3 teams of mixed boys and girls aged 5-11 years old. We hold weekly training sessions and weekly games. We are affiliated to the Anglesey Junior Football League and NWCFA. Our aim is to show the children of our community and surrounding area, the importance of teamwork, equality, keeping fit and following instructions.

Llannerch-y-medd Merched y Wawr host evening where we discuss a range of things such as history and historical local photographs. We also have evenings where we display members art work. Various speakers come to our sessions for expert discussion. As well as this we have sessions to practice handy work, cookery, quizzes, hobbies and much more.

We set up the group with the intention of raising funds for local worthy causes via weekly and monthly bonus ball and annual event party on the pitch, mainly keeping it local, for Llannerch-y-medd School, juniors football teams, etc.

Ysgol Gymuned Llannerch-y-medd are a Welsh community school providing bilingual education for 3 - 11 year olds in an agricultural area. The heart of the community with close links between the parents, local businesses, religious organisations and the Community Council.

​We are a small Chapel based in the middle of Llannerch-y-medd near the School and we hold Service every Sunday morning at 10.00am. Sometimes we have an additional service at 5.30pm if guest ministers are available. This runs throughout the year apart from the month of August.
